ZANet Rules

The servers that host #GaySA are privately owned. Check out the site at http://www.zanet.org.za. If nothing else, read their Rules. ZANet does not accept ignorance of their rules as an excuse for transgressing them.

The most important ZANet rules, amongst others, which apply to all their channels, are:

  1. You may not disrupt anyone’s chatting in any way;
  2. You may not use scripts, bots, clones, or automata (auto-rejoins, auto-opping, auto-kicks, auto-bans, automated
    messages, and the like);
  3. Flooding is not permitted.

Go to http://www.zanet.org.za/rules/ for more detail.

ZANet has several mechanisms in place to automatically manage IRC activity on their server. These include the prevention of channel takeovers, registration of nicks with the user’s password, etc. through their BabyServ, NickServ, MemoServ, and InfoServ services.
